I've read books 1 & 2 and will update this as I finish the others :)Book 1
Tris is a young woman about to embark on a new adventure; she is of age to become a full member of the local coven of witches. Right before the lavish event can take place, Tris’ mother disappears without a trace. While the police haven’t closed the case, a shocked Tris must watch as the coven declares her dead. But she knows deep in heart and soul that she is still alive.
Slowly clues start to arise, and with the help of a deliciously handsome old childhood friend, they begin to form a much larger picture. One that leads to her mother being kidnapped. But they won’t stop there, no, they want Tris too.Between grieving for the loss of her mother, and trying to find out why, Tris may discover more than her heart can handle. While she builds walls to protect her fragile heart, Logan desperately attempts to win her over. If he fails she may become a lonely soul, forced to wander for eternity alone.
It’s not a big secret that I quickly became a fan of Karice Bolton when I first got to read her Watchers Trilogy. Yet this series is taking on a different paranormal angle. When any author does this, it can leave a lot of room for speculation. This is especially true when you make a jump from fallen angels to witchcraft. But in my humble opinion, she hit the nail on the head with this excellent beginning to a series that I will be sure to follow.

Book 2 (*May contain spoilers)
This book picks up right where the second book left off, so it is pretty imperative to read Lonely Souls for the full effect. Could Altered Souls be read on its own? Sure, it would make a good read, but as a series, it brings much more to the table, and it really allows the full story to slowly build and unfold. I’m going to whip this up a little differently as Karice gave us multiple storylines, and each one is important.
Triss and Logan are still together, very much in love, but their mothers are still missing. In the beginning, the only link is Trevor, and all signs are pointing at black magic and the father Triss has never known.
Conflict #1
Right off the bat, Triss has this notion of performing a spell, a dark spell that has grave consequences. In a way, it has the possibility of binding her to Trevor, romantically, forever. All it would take is one loving thought, notion, or even a kiss to seal her fate to him. Will she choose Trevor over Logan?
Conflict #2
Trust. Every time Triss turns around, it seems she loses the ability to trust in those she cares about. The only exception is Logan, but we will see some twists and turns as the story progresses.
Conflict #3
Dark Magic. The draw is intense, even for the pure soul that encased Triss. We watch her struggle time and again to not only make the right moves, but for the proper reasons too. The end of this conflict was pretty awesome, but I just can’t give it away.
Conflict #4
Father. Triss’s father is at the root of all this evil deception…or is he?
Gosh, I really love Karice’s ability to tell a good story. I’ll never tire of reading her books, and I do read them again. Her style has a very human notion, and it is what lacks in many paranormal type books, for me. I want human emotions, actions, and thoughts because no matter what happens, I can relate to that. As a reviewer that is the first – and last aspect of a story I seek out, and this author never fails to provide. As long as Karice Bolton keeps writing, I will gladly keep reading (and reviewing).

Witch Avenue Series The Complete Set A Cozy YA Paranormal Romance eBook Karice Bolton Reviews
A decent story from beginning to end. The first book was a freebie on , and good enough to get me to go for the series. It has its ridiculous moments, don't they all?! But it is about entertainment and that it does.
I'm not sure about the negative reviews. This is a fantasy book and as such you should be expected to alter your reality somewhat. This is a young adult book and reads as such. The characters and wold building were engaging which helped to overcome some of the predictability. For the money, it was a nice read.
I like to take a chance on reading some books. This series keep me interested the whole way. Not usually the kind of books I read about witches but I do recommend it on a change of scenery.
Great little series for young adults closer to the adult end than the young end - but I’m old fashioned! I was right there with Triss and Logan. Karice did a great job making the characters real and keeping me engaged.
I actually bought the first book to try then the second one and when the series came up for the price I bought it to get the last two books.
This is a pretty fast paced catch you right away story. I love the characters the concept and romantic story line that develops between them. I am still reading them and have been extremely impressed with Karice Boltons writing. I am a very young at heart 57 yr. old, and do love a good young adult series especially with a magical twist of good and evil proportions... Well worth the read !!!
I liked having all the books in one box. The books would have been too short separately. It was a fun read with some new ideas but the many (too many) instances of completely losing all will and control by a look or hug and then rinse, repeat was too much. If I were 13, it might work. The characters were post high school, young but but adults. I enjoyed the fighting, and the experiencing of new powers and learning to control those powers. There was a big buildup to a final battle but by the time of the battle I felt like that the author was tired of the story and just wanted the last book to end. It did have a happy ending which I need and most of the time the characters were engaging. It is a book I would read once.
I thoroughly enjoy ed reading this YA witch series. There are mature innuendo's, so be warned. That being said, there is nothing graphic, just certain intentions implied, which is reasonable for 18+ yr olds to participate in. The story itself is interesting and the world building easy to follow.
Read my individual book reviews of each of the four books. If you like witch books, I highly recommend reading these. I do like reading different authors on this particular genre to see their interpretation.
